3-Day Private Leopard Safari
Expert naturalist-guided dawn & dusk game drives in Yala, tracking the elusive Ceylon leopard, accompanied by luxury glamping under the stars.
Day-by-Day Roadmap & Experiences
Each day is harmonized for relaxed luxury travel, balancing morning cultural discoveries with afternoon wellness, gourmet dining, and private chauffeured transfers across Sri Lanka's ancient kingdoms.
Day 01 of 07Arrival at Yala & Evening Leopard Patrol
Your private chauffeur collects you from the airport and travels the Southern Expressway into Sri Lanka's wild south. Check into your exclusive luxury tented camp — where canvas walls meet fine linen, handcrafted furniture, and open-air outdoor showers surrounded by the jungle. In the late afternoon, board your private open-top 4x4 safari jeep for a 3-hour evening patrol of Yala Block 1 as the golden light filters through the scrub jungle.
Day 02 of 07Full Day Dawn-to-Dusk Leopard Tracking
This is the heart of the safari. Depart at 5:30 AM with your certified naturalist for the golden hour drive when leopards are most active along rocky outcrops and tree branches. Traverse the park's diverse habitats — thick thorn scrub, open grasslands, permanent waterholes and dry riverbeds — tracking not only leopards but sloth bears, sambar deer, wild elephants, crocodiles and myriad bird species. Return to camp for a bush brunch, rest during midday heat, then depart for an extended dusk drive culminating in a private sundowner at a vetted waterhole as elephants gather to drink.
Day 03 of 07Final Dawn Drive & Departure
One final pre-dawn drive into the silent park as dawn light paints the sky amber. Leopards often return to rest on elevated rocks in the early morning — perfect light for photography. After breakfast at camp, your private chauffeur drives you north via Tissamaharama, pausing at Bundala National Park's flamingo lagoon or the ancient Kataragama pilgrimage site if time permits, before a comfortable expressway journey to Colombo or the airport.
